From struggling with finances from the onset of the pandemic to an instant shot to fame, from opening a brand new restaurant to coming back to their humble eatery in Malviya Nagar – Baba Ka Dhaba’s Kanta Prasad and Badami Devi have seen it all.
However, in an unfortunate turn of events, Kanta Prasad was admitted to Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital on Thursday night after he allegedly attempted suicide, reports News18. The police revealed how they received a call on Thursday notifying them about a man who tried to attempt suicide. When they reached the hospital, they saw it was Kanta Prasad.
According to NDTV, reports suggested that he had consumed alcohol and sleeping pills, causing him to fall unconscious at their shop.

Kanta Prasad’s son Karan claimed the same.
“I don’t know what he ate, what he drank. They took him to the hospital after he fell unconscious. Doctors have not told us anything. I don’t know what he was thinking,” Badami Devi said, adding that Kanta Prasad had been depressed for a few days.
