The pressure to churn out breaking news can be a little overwhelming for the media as they scramble to leave each other behind in the race for TRP. In such situations, some boo-boos are committed and ironically, this makes them the subject of sensational news (it’s a vicious cycle). And guess who the victim of this ‘oops’ moment was, this time around?
None other than the ‘Horny Sindhi’, comedian Atul Khatri. The fiasco started with IBN Live reporting the bail of the JNU professor after he was accused of sexually assaulting a student. The professor’s name is Atul Johri but I guess Khatri’s Twitter gave them a completely different perspective and they thought, ‘Yeah this is the guy.’
Obviously, Atul Khatri was taken aback by this and tweeted,

I mean, can you blame them? Atul Khatri has created such an image for himself that they didn’t think twice before publishing his name. Do you remember the sex column where the person had a huge tiff with ‘Sandeep‘ because his wife yelled that name during sex? Guess who started it and uncovered a gold mine of jokes?
Yup, you guessed it. It was HIM.
