Armaan Kohli, On The Run After Physically Assaulting GF, Gets Caught Because Of A Sim Card

For almost three days, actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Armaan Kohli managed to elude the police. He was on the run after his girlfriend and live-in partner Neeru Randhawa accused him of allegedly physically assaulting her.

Neeru, a 35-year-old model, had suffered injuries to her head and knee and consequently had filed an FIR against Armaan Kohli.

According to her statement to the media, Kohli had hit her so badly that she needed to undergo surgery at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. A case had been registered against Kohli under the IPC sections 323, 326, 504 and 506 at Mumbai’s Santacruz police station.

Armaan Kohli was absconding when the police arrived at his residence to arrest him.

However, on Tuesday, the Mumbai Police managed to nab Kohli from his friend’s farmhouse in Lonavla when he ventured out of hiding to purchase a new SIM card.

According to Indian Today, Kohli had been changing cities in Maharashtra—Solapur, Pune, Nagpur—and using different SIM cards to elude the police. When he arrived in Lonavla at a friend’s farmhouse, he again attempted to acquire a new SIM card to communicate with his lawyer and family. And this turned out to be his undoing.

An alert citizen identified Kohli at the shop he went to buy the SIM card, and informed the police. In a span of 2 hours, the Santacruz Police managed to locate Kohli and apprehend him.

He will be produced in court today.

This goes on to show that those on the run from the law will always make some mistake, but it depends on the alertness of responsible citizens and the agility of the police force to apprehend them. Here’s hoping justice prevails.
