Mere weeks after the Taliban’s takeover of Kabul, an all-male cabinet was announced for Afghanistan’s interim government. Soon after, a Taliban spokesperson Sayed Zekrullah Hashimi, declared on live TV that ‘Women can’t be ministers’.
A Taliban spokesman on @TOLOnews: "A woman can't be a minister, it is like you put something on her neck that she can't carry. It is not necessary for a woman to be in the cabinet, they should give birth & women protesters can't represent all women in AFG."

His comments sparked global outrage and though the group responded to Afghan women’s protests by whipping them, there were others such as Indian lyricist Javed Akhtar who spoke out against the move.
The spokesperson of Taliban has told the world that women are not meant to be ministers but to stay at home and bear children but the so called civilised and democratic countries of the world are willing to shake Talibani hand . What a shame .

Akhtar slammed democratic countries around the globe for being willing to shake hands with the Taliban. He further said,
“Every decent person, every democratic government, every civilized society in the world should refuse to recognize and condemn Taliban for their ruthless repression of Afghan women or let’s forget the words like justice, humanity, and conscience.”
