Following the release of Krrish 3, bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut had claimed she was in a relationship with co-star Hrithik Roshan. Roshan who was married to Sussanne Khan at the time had denied the allegations. The duo had subsequently had a public spat.
Last year, Javed Akhtar had filed a defamation case against Kangana for allegedly soiling his image during media interactions. Ranaut filed a plea to quash Akhtar’s claims and Bombay High Court has reserved its order on the same, reports India Today.
Now the veteran lyricist has revealed that he tried to convince Kangana to settle her issues with Hrithik in 2016. Akhtar had reportedly called Kangana and her sister Rangoli with the help of a doctor known to both the actress and Hrithik.
Akhtar said, “I tried to advise and pacify her to settle issues with Hrithik. However, she did not listen to me and told me that she would take the issue as per her choice and she would show him. As she was not in a mood to listen to me, I changed the topics and shared pleasantries with her, offered some tea or coffee to her, and saw her off till the lift.”
Reports reveal the doctor stated that Akhtar asked Kangana to apologise to Hrithik. His statement claims Akhtar told Kangana, “Both of you are celebrities. This entire issue of fake emails will hurt our image in the media and the public. Hence, you should settle it by saying sorry to Hrithik Roshan.”
The High Court may pass an order on Ranaut’s plea by September 9.
