Whether you worship Ram or Allah or Jesus, all that matter is that you have faith.
And a man in Jaipur has been living his life thinking just the same. The man, 39-year-old Akbar Khan, has built a temple for Lord Shiva in Jaipur as a show of his devotion and love.
He says that whether it be troubled times or happy times he not only offered prayers at the nearby mosque but also worshipped Shiva and added, “Whenever I was in trouble emotionally or financially, I had always prayed Lord Shiva and all my troubles vanished.”
But before the temple, Khan had organised invitation prayers of Lord Ganesha, a kalash yatra, a yagna and a bhajan sandhya previously.
Khan says that he cannot exactly recall when he started revering Lord Shiva but he adds, “Allah kaho ya Ram, kya farak padta hai.”
The temple has been named ‘Bhooteshwar Temple’ and will not only have Shiva but his entire family as well.
He says, “I am thankful to Lord Shiva that he has chosen me for the task. I have constructed the temple without any financial help. There was no temple in Om Vihar Colony. I got the idols from Sikandara in Dausa.”
When asked about the objection he faced from his or other communities during the construction he said that he faced none.

Now isn’t this the kind of example religious fanatics in India need? Well done, Akbar Khan.
