Being born to a Pakistani diplomat, music composer Adnan Sami had to prove his loyalty towards India on many occasions. He had also been slammed earlier for showing his support towards India. In 2016, Adnan became an Indian citizen and was awarded the Padma Shri in 2020.

Now, the musician has again hit headlines after his biological brother, Junaid Sami Khan, made some shocking claims on Facebook about the Padma Shri awardee.
In a now-deleted FB post, Junaid blasted Adnan and alleged that he faked his birthplace, his education, his identity, and more, reported India Today.
Before Junaid could delete his lengthy post, many publications took screengrabs of it and now they’ve gone viral.
Junaid started off by claiming that both Adnan and he were born in a Rawalpindi hospital and not in England contrary to what Adnan claims.
“So him stating he was born in England or any other place, Wikipedia etc are all lies.”
Calling Adnan selfish, he claimed that despite being a talented singer, Adnan never launched him in India.
“Adnan Sami could have helped me musically big time. He knows I have talent too and can sing. Many have said to me I have a slightly better voice than him even! The edge! But he never cared and remained selfish as he is. Never launched me in India! He is a shady character. Did he fear I may have overtaken him career-wise? Don’t rule it out! Now I sit at home doing nothing! Adnan Sami is the main reason for it.”
Moreover, he added that Adnan has also faked his educational degrees. Then he went on to levy some serious allegations against the Indian singer.
Junaid said that Adnan had kidnapped his three-year-old son and flown to Dubai.
“Law says son has to be with mother till age 7. Adnan Sami didn’t care about that.”
Continuing his post, Junaid said that Adnan Sami was involved in releasing an indecent video of his second wife.
“Adnan Sami gave it to court for all India to see lying he didn’t make it and Sabah’s lover made it. All lies!”
However, when he spoke about Adnan’s citizenship and love for India, he said that there’s no doubt that Adnan loves the country that made him what he’s today.
He added that their mother is Pakistani.
“She was not Indian-born. Another lie Adnan Sami said.”
After Adnan lost 130 kgs from his body, people questioned the ways he got them removed. Talking about it, Adnan has said, “None of it was done by any kind of surgical interference.”
But Junaid here claimed that it’s a big lie. “I personally received him in a wheelchair on June 2006 at JFK airport.”
“He was 232 kilos. After staying a couple of days in NY, we with our family flew to Baltimore. There Adnan had the Gastric Bypass done. This is how he lost weight.”
He concluded his post by saying that he understands Pakistani citizens’ sentiments when they say their father was a war hero against India and Adnan Sami turned Indian. That he is a cancer.
