Since even before its release, Adipurush has been continuously stirring controversy. People have numerous complaints about the film – how the film lacks accuracy, has cartoonish VFX, and the dialogues are downright cringe-worthy. Naturally, several people who watched the film gave negative reviews about the Om Raut directorial on social media. But we live in a world of paid tweets and promotion. Views can be twisted. Lies can be spread. It is very easy – all one needs is a bit of money.
Team Adipurush has allegedly been messaging Twitter users with a decent number of followers and reach, asking them to take down the negative tweets they posted about the film.
Twitter users have been sharing screenshots of the kind of messages they have been receiving. Here’s a look at one of them. The guy mentioned in the message is Aaraynsh, a guy with 12.8k followers on Twitter currently, many of whose tweets have gone crazy viral in the past and thereby, grabbed headlines. So if Aaraynsh says the movie is good, you can rest assured that a good chunk of people will take his recommendation seriously.
Here’s another example. This parody account on Twitter is named Dr Nimo Yadav and is VERY popular. The user currently has 53.8k followers. This user was offered Rs 9,500 per tweet for positive reviews about the film.
There are many others who were offered money in exchange for positive reviews. The team is also reporting tweets that are posting negative reviews. Here’s a look:

First makers of Adipurush made mockery of our Sanatana Dharam and now they want us to delete our tweets and support them.
We don’t use Hinduism for Votes or money like Sanghis. Go find someone else.#AdipurushDisaster pic.twitter.com/YMCfdMIKuX

Someone from @TSeries is asking verified accounts to delete their negative tweets on #Adipurush and post positive things by paying them ₹ 5,000 – ₹ 10,000 per tweet. Also, they’re sending DMCA notice to many who’re criticising the film on Twitter. Shame on @omraut and his team. pic.twitter.com/xGE8zPQH2c
