TV Actors Expose Fake Casting Calls Asking For Bare Body Pics & Videos

We all know how the glittery looking TV industry also has a dark and gloomy side. Apart from getting fame, money and love from their fans, actors are often exploited mentally and physically. And when you are waiting for that one life-changing phone call, there might be many fake ones, ready to take advantage of you. And this is what recently happened to ‘Naagin 4’ actor Vijendra Kumeria.

In a series of screenshots, Vijendra shared how the fake casting director was about to bait him by luring him with a ‘film script’. Times Now reported how the actor received a call a few days ago and the caller said that they are casting for a web series with Ranbir Kapoor and Yami Gautam in the lead roles.

He further explained, “Now as a TV actor for the last 8-9 years, I know who casts TV shows in the industry. But when it comes to OTT and films, I don’t know much about it. This is because I have not done any work on these platforms yet. The man who called me looked so professional that I didn’t even realize it was a fake call.”

Vijendra elaborated that the caller shared the script with him and shared information about his character. “He then spoke for a self-test. I asked for his email ID while sharing the video, to which he insisted that I share it on WhatsApp. That’s all he asked me to make a product video, in which I looked naked wearing briefs. I felt that there was something wrong. A real casting director would never ask you to send such pictures and videos. I immediately told him that I know this is a fake call and please stop calling and messaging me.”

However, the caller kept saying that it wasn’t a fake call. “You are misunderstanding me. If you’re not comfortable sharing this kind of video, then no problem.”

Sharing the intention of the people behind such hoax calls, Vijendra said that they do such things for misuse of photos and videos or do it because of cheap thrills.

“There are some perverts who enjoy it. I think this happens more with TV actors because we want to work in web series and films, but do not have contacts.”

“So, when you get a call from a big brand then the person gets a little excited. However, it is frustrating when you find out that someone was trying to fool you,” he added. Well, it’s not just him, the fake caller also contacted other actors like Khushwant Walia.

Here’s a screenshot shared by the ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ actor speaking about the same:

If you experience something like this, don’t hesitate to report the caller to the cybercrime branch of your nearest police station. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
