Bollywood movies often boast of extravagant shoots at beautiful locations, which is quite an experience to watch on-screen. But it becomes unacceptable when it comes at the cost of the environment. For instance, previously the Goa government asked Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions to apologize for littering.
Currently, Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, and their team have been shooting for an upcoming movie in Ladakh, and a similar allegation has been leveled against them.
A Twitter user shared a video from Wakha village where he claimed that the film’s shoot has been going on. He accused the team of littering the land and leaving it polluted. Check it out:
This is the gift Bollywood star Amir Khan's upcoming movie Lal Singh Chada has left for the villagers of Wakha in Ladakh.
Amir Khan himself talks big about environmental cleanliness at Satyamev Jayate but this is what happens when it comes to himself. pic.twitter.com/exCE3bGHyB— Jigmat Ladakhi 🇮🇳 (@nontsay) July 8, 2021
This is the kind of havoc the crew is creating with the undisturbed environment.
Wake up so called Bollywood stars!!
Seems these people lost their civic senses!!— Jigmat Ladakhi 🇮🇳 (@nontsay) July 8, 2021

It is quite painful to watch tourists disrespect the holy lakes & environs of Ladakh and now locals allege village Wakha in Ladakh being left in a mess by the crew of upcoming Amir Khan movie Lal Singh Chaddha. The sensitive ecology of the region must be treated with care. https://t.co/sIl8tsntPA

Well what else is left see here now. Tourist exploiting our sacred lakes and bollywood stars exploiting our nature. Been a biggest fan of #AamirKhan works but after this not anymore. Be respectful with nature atleast.#LaalSinghChaddha #Bollywood @LAHDC_K https://t.co/4IKwcD23uP

@jtnladakh : Why has Ladakh administration not sent a notice to the producers of the film ?
Why do we let them go scot free ? https://t.co/OxIpKCLTGT

Need to wake up before its too late, we can't take the environment for granted.
I saw pictures of people dumping their plastic trash on the Triund trek.
Somebody driving a half submerged Fortuner near the banks of Pangong and now this. Plastic bottles all around https://t.co/NBRiNX1Pbs— Vishesh Koul (@visheshkoul7) July 9, 2021
The film crew is yet to respond to these allegations. What do you think? Tell us.
