Aamir Khan has put his heart, soul and sweat into his preparations for the portrayal of Mahavir Singh Phogat for Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Dangal‘. And, his perseverance has been awarded oh-so-sweetly by his fans all across the globe. While India is still coping with demonetisation, the movie’s box office (B.O) collections didn’t take a hit, at all.

Aamir Khan starrer ‘Dangal’ got it’s 100 crore club membership card on its third day. It has created history at B.O, on Sunday, by being the first ever movie to collect over 42 crores in a single day.

The day-wise growth of the movie is pretty impressive, too.

On day one, with 29.78 crore ‘Dangal’ had the second highest opening of 2016 after Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’. But, it beat ‘Sultan’ in the first three-day collection. While Salman starrer collected Rs 105.34 crores, Aamir’s film got Rs 106.95 crores.

With ‘Dhoom 3’, ‘P.K’ and now, ‘Dangal’, Aamir has hit the hattrick at the B.O in the most ‘Dhaakad’ way.

The film, about Mahavir Phogat’s life and his struggle to make his daughters – Geeta and Babita – wrestling champions, is garnering a lot of praises since it’s release on December 23.
