Several women have time and again proved that they can scale the highest peaks and break glass ceilings without batting an eyelid. Since we are all aware of the inspiring stories of women like Mary Kom and Bachendri Pal who carved a niche for themselves in fields dominated by men, let me share with you an awe-inspiring story of a 68-year-old grandma.
I am talking about Asha Ambade who has been in the news for her grit, determination, and willpower. Fondly known as Aaji, the grandmother trekked through steep steps to summit Harihar Fort near Igatpuri in Maharashtra, reports Navbharat Times.
In an undated video that’s been doing rounds on the internet RN, Aaji, clad in white saree, can be seen climbing the elevated steps of the fort to make it to the top.
At the age of 70 yrs, with her sheer determination she made it. Salutes to that willpower. #Inspired pic.twitter.com/fKkk8e7nw8

Since the ascent of the steps is 90 degrees in many places, it is also considered one of the dangerous trekking trails. As per reports, Ambade often exercises with her sons who regularly go trekking. But this was the first time she accompanied them on an expedition like this.
Like the people in the video who cheered her, there were several online who saluted her ‘never give up’ attitude.
This is seriously very steep trek …..
And then she doesn't fear vertigo …
Salute to the old lady for her valour ..Inspiring 🌺— You Shuck ! (@AshwinGour4) October 10, 2020
