In an intimate ceremony in San Francisco, California, Hansal Mehta finally got married to his partner of 17 years, Safeena Husain. They have two daughters together – Kimaya and Rehana, reported Hindustan Times.
“So after 17 years, two children, watching our sons growing up and chasing our respective dreams we decided to get hitched. As always in life this was also impromptu and unplanned. Our vows however were truthful and but for this little ceremony they would never have been said. Ultimately love prevails over all else. And it has…” he wrote on Instagram.

The filmmaker, who has made amazing films on love like his most recent ‘Baai’, shared glimpses from his big day. There was no shaadi ka joda or baarat. Instead, it was a small gathering of their loved ones. The filmmaker wore a casual t-shirt and jeans with a beige blazer while Safeena was seen in a pink kurta-salwar.
