Actor Siddharth Takes A Dig At Celebs Who Have Chiselled Bodies Using Steroids

Not just to women, but unrealistic body standards have been fed to men as well. If you look at star-studded Bollywood films, magazines, and advertisements, you will find that most men featured in them often appear with 6-pack abs and a chiselled look.

‘Rang De Basanti’ actor Siddharth took to Twitter to call out this trend. He called it “exaggerated fantasies” that are allegedly achieved using steroids and growth hormones.

Sharing pictures of the late Dara Singh, Siddharth wrote, “This is how strong men in cinema used to look back in the day. Today you see exaggerated fantasies that look nothing like what a body should. And achieved with steroids and growth hormones to boot.”

Responding to his post, some people disagreed and said that the kind of exercises which actors perform and the diet which they follow are completely different from that of the older generation.

However, there were many who supported his claim and said that steroids play a big role in making leading actors look the way they do. They added that while they look chiselled, they are ultimately harming their bodies.
