It’s 2020 and we see that women are soaring high in various fields all across the world. It is a sight for the sore eyes, especially in the aviation industry which people still consider to be male-dominated. Recently, a mother-daughter duo made history by becoming the first pairing to co-pilot a commercial flight together.
As per a report in Times Now, a commercial pilot named Hina Khan took to Twitter to share an anecdote that made her laugh. She shared how an elderly woman was stunned upon seeing her in the cockpit of a Delhi-Gaya flight. The old lady had requested to see the cockpit of the flight after landing back in Delhi, and gave an unmissable reaction. Check it out:
Did a Delhi-Gaya-Delhi flight today.
An elderly lady wanted to look into the cockpit & when she saw me, she exclaimed in an haryanvi accent
“Oi yahan to chorri baithi!”
Could not stop laughing!#aviationstories

It’s expected from older generation

Yeah don’t blame them really. That generation hardly knows or is allowed to drive. It’s quite a leap of faith for them. But they will get used to the “chorris” doing even more incredible things. 😎

It was not an orthodox comment as far as I see it. She might amazed by watching a girl flying aeroplane.

Happy that our attitudes are changing even if slowly. The same lady may also be shocked if her son does any household work in his own home…
