When people hear or talk about marriages, they use phrases like “made in heaven”, “happily ever after” and “most special decision”. It is true that sharing your love, life, happiness, fears and insecurities with “the one” is a great feeling. But for us millennials, the mere thought is, in fact, quite scary to even contemplate.
For some, it is the lifelong commitment that seems daunting and for others, it is the dwindling faith in the institution itself. Increasing divorce rates are frightening and there is also the paradox of choice that leads to overthinking. And how do we deal with these frightening feelings? With humour of course!
Recently, Twitter user @_muslimmaa shared a hilarious take on marriages that left everyone in splits.
The idea of marriage is scary…I feel like after I travel on the honeymoon I will be like “that was a fun trip haha , text me some time ?” And go back to my parents

I wish! We could get the benefit of holidaying with our best friend etc. Swish our hair around and then go back home and chill 😎

Which one of these did you relate with the most? Sending out a distress signal or SOS to mom seems like the best option, don’t you agree?
