Yuvraj’s Father Yograj Singh Vows To Expose ‘The Man’ Behind His Son’s Retirement

One of India’s greatest ever ODI cricketers, Yuvraj Singh bid cricket an emotional goodbye on June 10th, 2019. The southpaw, who has represented the country in over 400 international matches, made the heartbreaking announcement speaking at a press conference in Mumbai.

However, what makes us sad is the fact that a true warrior like Yuvi did not get the farewell he deserved. A phenomenal career that gave us two World Cup trophies in 2007 and 2011 respectively, was brought to an end abruptly.

Soon after making his retirement call, Yuvraj came up with a statement blaming the BCCI for his the disappointing end to his journey. He also vowed to make some more revelations about the Indian cricket board after the 2019 World Cup.

As we continue to wait to hear from the Punjabi power hitter, his father, Yograj Singh, has already dropped a bomb. In an interview with SportsRush, Yograj blamed a particular individual and his dirty politics for his son’s sudden retirement. Though he kept away from taking a name, the former Indian cricketer pointed out that several players including the likes of Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman and now Yuvraj Singh, has been a victim of his inside games.

“It happened with Gautam Gambhir. It happened with Virender Sehwag. They were great players. Now it has happened with Yuvraj Singh. It had happened with VVS Laxman as well. I know the reason why all this has happened. Only one individual is responsible for all this.”

Following what Yuvi said earlier, Yograj added that he will go on to expose that person after the ongoing World Cup as he doesn’t want to affect the team’s performance right now.

“I don’t want to take his name but he has been playing this dirty politics from the last 15 years. He has made lives difficult for Indian cricketers. I will make this revelation after the World Cup gets over. He will remember this for life that someone said something about him. I am not the one who will sit down without saying anything. I always speak the truth. And when I speak the truth, no one speaks in front of me. I don’t want to speak about him at this point in time because I don’t want the team to get affected during the World Cup.”

Now, considering the fact that MS Dhoni made his international debut in 2004, which was exactly 15 years ago, the target could very well be the legendary Indian skipper. It is also to be noted that Yograj had blamed Dhoni previously when his son was ousted from the Indian squad. While those comments were soon forgotten, it would be interesting to see the outcome this time.
