Gone are the days when actors didn’t pay much heed to their physical appearances according to the character they play in Bollywood movies. While Aamir Khan is probably the trendsetter, juggling his looks between a college student for ‘3 idiots’, a middle-aged, overweight dad and a beefed up hunk for ‘Dangal’ and an alien (?) for ‘PK’, it is now a common practice in the Indian film industry to get as close to the character being portrayed as possible.
Talking about impressive transformations, Kunal Kapoor is the newest addition to the list. The actor, known for his impeccable performances in movies like ‘Rang De Basanti’, ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’ and ‘Dear Zindagi’ has completely transformed himself for an upcoming movie.
On Wednesday, Kunal Kapoor took to Twitter to share the pictures of his amazing body transformation for his upcoming movie ‘Veeram’.

To be honest, Kunal did give us hints of his transformation from these Instagram posts. It’s our bad that we couldn’t decipher the code.
It takes some hard work and dedication to get there for sure.
Here’s one with a sword. Umm, totally getting it now.
Portraying the character of an infamous warrior from 16th century Kerala, Chandu Chekavar, Kunal sports two different looks in the Macbeth-inspired movie. Speaking of his transformation, he said,
“I was training like a beast for almost six months. I have always been fit but this is the fittest and most muscular I have ever been. I play a warrior in the film and I wanted to make sure I felt and looked like one.”
Forget Veeram, Kunal can easily land a role in ‘Game Of Thrones’ with that bod. Who knows, maybe Mr Martin would want to bring another ‘Khal’ in the game? 😉
