When it comes to lending a helping hand, age is never a restriction. Earlier, a 12-year-old school student from Noida used all of her pocket money to send 3 migrant workers home to Jharkhand.
Now, 80-year-old Mujibullah who works as a coolie at Lucknow Railway Station is carrying the luggage of daily wage earners without charging them for his services, reports Hindustan Times.
The elderly samaritan works for 8-10 hours and believes that this “khidmat” is his important duty. Yahoo News quoted him saying,
“I am working as a coolie here and I provide free service to the passengers. I am 80 years old and still, I can lift 50kgs weight on my head.”
Furthermore, he distributes food and water to passengers on the trains and says that he can earn money once the lockdown is over.
