In case you want to bring home a cute little pupper for Christmas and your folks are reluctant, the best way to win them over is by submitting a professional cover letter, resume and an 800-word essay on why you’d ace the job. But if you live in a rented apartment that doesn’t allow pets, here’s another creative solution.
According to Mail Online, Jack McCrossan and 3 other engineers share an apartment together in the UK. Having grown up with pets around, they love animals but their landlord doesn’t allow pets. So, when they saw a dog at their neighbours’, they wrote a letter asking permission to hang out with her.
Been saying we’d love a dog about the house but our landlord doesn’t allow pets, so my housemate posted a letter to our neighbours asking if we could walk their dog every once and a while and the response was better than we could have ever hoped for pic.twitter.com/dcMOfPk5UH

And they received a reply from the doggo herself! Stevie Ticks (a two year and four-month-old Sheprador) said she’d love to play with “the boys from number 23”.
Here’s the handwritten reply, complete with an envelope sealed with a paw-print.
Stevie and the boys are now friends and go on walks together. Check them out.
Update: The boys from 23 just met Stevie, looks like the start of a beautiful friendship (Give Stevie a follow on Instagram: stevieticks) #stevieticks pic.twitter.com/HkhDzzQcSG
