Instead, we marched ahead and made a name for ourselves in fields they could only imagine.

We paraded like we owned the place, we worked like there was no tomorrow, we put in effort that is unparalleled and unaffected by gender. We went out and climbed the corporate ladder, we won medals for the twirls you thought were girly, we picked up a gun and chased criminals in questionable neighbourhoods, we climbed mountains and even became professional deep sea divers, we won medals and accolades, we started endless NGO’s and made a difference to the society.

We stood up for ourselves and proved to the world that we aren’t and can’t be defined by gender. We can only be defined by our personality, our resilience, our dedication and every drop of sweat we’ve given to become the best at what we are.

 

We turned the world into a stage to prove our grit, without excuses and concessions.

We didn’t take days off during our low days. We didn’t give excuses or try to back out of commitments. We showed up to work and made a difference. We moulded the world to make it a stage, where we could show everyone the stern stuff we’re made of.
