Priyanka Chopra has been constantly making it to the headlines for over the past two days. After all, she was “MET” with a gala response from her fans worldwide and showered with love by the international media. But a page in Priyanka’s day book looks pretty exacting, TBH.

Right after her MET Gala appearance, Priyanka (who is a UNICEF Ambassador) straightaway flew down to Harare, Zimbabwe where she’s campaigning to end violence against children in Africa.

Pee Cee even penned down a heart-warming post on Instagram.

It’s the end of a long day of travel from NYC to Harare but I’m not tired…. In fact, I’m energized, waiting for dawn to break so I can set out on the journey of discovery that these amazing women and men have laid out for me. Meet Team @Unicef. Their passion and compassion is contagious and their hard work and dedication evident in everything I have just seen and heard in our meeting. We are here in Harare Zimbabwe on a field visit in the first part of my trip to Africa as part of our efforts to #EndViolence against Children. I’m looking forward to tomorrow and the opportunity to meet the courageous young survivors, their amazing caregivers and the teams that wake up every day and try to make the world a better place… one child at a time. I want to take you all on this journey with me, real time, and I hope you will join me here on these pages to bring awareness to some very important issues. Like, share, comment… do something. This is so very close to my heart, and know that every action (big or small) counts. #ThisTimeForAfrica #PeaCeLoveHope #foreverychild

Our desi girl was quite a hit amongst the kids too.

And, she too doted on them a lot.

She also uploaded an Instagram story where said she was in Harare and shared a candid moment with her young fans.

Pee Cee received quite a cheer from the kids and was seen explaining sexual abuse to them using dolls and educating them about various other things.

Update:

Priyanka also shared another video post where she poured her heart out.

I couldn’t keep this inside me so bear with me for one final post.
If I tried to explain what I’m feeling right now, at the end of what has been an incredible day, I know words will fail me. So I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves and let those beautiful faces with all those emotions shining in their eyes speak to you as they did to me. They made me believe, with every fibre of my being today, that there is good still left in us all and if we make even a little effort, we can somehow start to heal this world we live in. Thank you @unicef and the amazing people of Harare.

She makes us super-proud of her, doesn’t she?
