NASA Asked The Internet To Name The 7 New Planets And Twitter Went REALLY Creative!

Are we really alone in this vast universe?

A question NASA’s SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) has been desperately trying to answer for decades now. Most recently, NASA found a solar system of seven planets, about 40 light years away, which may, in fact, be capable of supporting life. They believe that this system has three planets with precisely the right conditions for the existence of water and in turn, life.

What’s more, NASA decided to give some pretty mundane names to each of the planets, with the hashtag #7NamesFor7NewPlanets.

Soon enough the hashtag #7NamesFor7NewPlanets began to trend and people decided to come up with their own quirky names for the planets.

1. The seven Horcruxes to appease the Potterhead in you.

2. Well, they’re dwarf planets, so makes sense.
