Kevin Hart has always managed to make us laugh with his incredible comic timing and won hearts all over the globe when he announced that he was leading the charge for the hurricane-affected victims in Texas.
However, Kevin Hart has found himself in the middle of a hurricane of controversy when a woman alleged that he had been cheating on his wife, Eniko Parrish.
The woman who he had been cheating with made a multi-million extortion demand from Kevin and when he refused to pay her she released the video admitting that since she did not get paid, she is exposing him “for free”.
The woman admits that her reason for releasing the video was definitely two-fold, one being to expose Kevin and the other, to get paid. She is also claiming that the real reason Kevin Hart orchestrated the Texan Relief Fund was to get ahead of the controversy which he knew was going to mar his credibility.
She issued a statement to TMZ and said,
“The real reason Kevin Hart orchestrated the Texas Hurricane Relief Fund, this so-called good deed was done to get ahead as he knew this damaging footage was one click away from being exposed as the liar and cheater he is.
Kevin Hart was privy to me wanting to expose him as I have made countless attempts to expose this information to various blogs, in an attempt to also get paid.”
As reported by TMZ, Kevin’s representatives have contacted the FBI regarding the failed extortion attempt.
Kevin posted an apology video on his Instagram page apologising to his pregnant wife and kids and admitting that somebody was trying to make a financial gain off his mistakes. He said,
“It’s a shitty moment when you know you’re wrong and there’s no excuses for your wrong behaviour. somebody has been trying to make financial gains off of my mistakes, I said I’d rather fess up to my mistakes.”
The FBI is rumoured to have zeroed in on a suspect and while that may be good news for Kevin Hart, the video of him cheating on his wife doing the rounds on social media is certainly harming his celebrity status.
This controversy comes just months after Kevin Hart rubbished all rumours of him cheating on his wife and went to the radio claiming that she was his one and only.
Being in the public eye can sometimes be more harmful than advantageous and for Kevin Hart, this controversy can wreak havoc on his married life as well.
