Watch Faye D’Souza Destroy Pune’s High Spirits Pub For Its Sexist Video

The #MeToo movement started with just one tweet about sexual harassment in Hollywood but now, a tweetstorm of horrifying and soul-shattering instances later, the trend has benchmarked itself as the most traumatising yet liberating experience that social media and its netizens have seen in a long time.

But while that stemmed out from a plague of problems beyond the seven seas, there is another episode, at this bay, that speaks of the deplorable condition of women’s rights in India. I’m talking about the slew of sexual harassment claims against Pune’s, High Spirits.

But you know the worst part, the accusations are just the tip of the iceberg. While the law is taking its own time in delivering on the allegations, a new video has surfaced that will prove all your worst fears right!

Shared by Mirror Now, the video seems to be an ad for the Pune bar where a man, drunk with his masculinity, refers to a girl as ‘cleavage’.

Not only that, he went on to badger her with sexual remarks and it will make you sick in the stomach. He can be heard saying,

“Don’t cover your cleavage, you’re ruining it for all of us. Can I smack your boobs?”

Now, while there is no sign of the administration taking note (at least not in public knowledge), Faye D’Souza has decided to take matters in her hand. She started with the holding the problem right by its neck. 

Apparently, this is not the only video. There’s a series of these, videos of similar derogatory nature.

She even went out and said something we, the women of India, wanted to say!

“Look at him! He obviously thinks he is cool and funny.”

Thank you, Faye. But the question still remains- how long before women are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve? How long before they are not treated as objects of desire? HOW LONG?
