‘He Was My life,’ Chattisgarh Reporter Who Broke Husband’s Death On Tv Finally Opens Up

A lot of news gather headlines or feature at the top of the bulletin, day in and day out but one particular news, on one particular bulletin got the entire nation hooked to it! Unfortunately, it was one of the most harrowing days in Journalism when a TV anchor learnt and broke the news of her husband’s death on LIVE TV.

The Chattisharg reporter, Supreet Kaur, who lost her husband, Harshad Gawde in a road accident, broke down but only after completing the segment with composure. Needless to say, she was lauded for her professionalism from all corners including from the office of Raman Singh, Chief Minister, Chattisgarh. 

 

Now, the brave lady has finally opened up about her late husband. She told Hindustan Times,

“Whenever my husband used to ask me where I was, I would reply, ‘TV dekh lo pata lag jayega (watch the TV, you will get to know).

 

She also let her emotions get the best of her and it will definitely hit you where it hurts.

I was very reserved, but he drew me out of my shell. He was my life and taught me how to be happy. He always appreciated my journalism. I am thankful to everyone who supporting me at this difficult time.”

It was even more dismaying to learn that she had in fact, lost her father in a road accident four years ago. Kaur, who is from Bhilai, and businessman Gawde got married two years ago.
