10 Celebrities You Didn’t Know Are Guinness World Record Holders

What all do you have on your bucket list? Let me tell you mine, I want to make good money, be known for my work, get Googled by at least some people, own a HUGE house, a Benz, and well, have a world record someday.

Yeah, I know it is kinda silly, but… How cool it would be to have world record in YOUR name, when there are 7 billion people in the world! Do you get the picture?

Well, these 10 celebrities are kinda living my dream and I am not even close to achieving it. They’re rich, famous, get Googled like crazy, own multiple houses/resorts/hotels/villas, have countless Benz (and even better I am assuming) and also have a world record. Oh yes, they do!

1. Abhishek Bachchan – Most public appearances made by a film star in 12 hours.

While promoting his film ‘Delhi 6’ in the year 2009, Abhishek Bachchan visited 7 cities, walked the red-carpet, met fans and signed autographs! He made appearances in Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh and Mumbai, on 22 February 2009. Jr AB travelled 1,800 kms in just under 12 hours by car and private jet.

 

2. Eminem – Most words in a hit single.

The undeniable ‘Rap God’ packed 1,560 words into an incredible 6 min 4 sec song with lyrics that can easily make for an epic tongue-twister! According to Guinness, Slim Shady’s intro alone spits 97 words (6.46 words per second) at “supersonic speed”! Isn’t that awesome?

 

3. Jennifer Lawrence – Highest-grossing action-movie heroine.

With her quirky sense of humour, it’s safe to say that J-Law is Hollywood’s most REAL celebrity ever! After the first two ‘Hunger Games’ movies grossed over $1.5 billion worldwide, Jen took home $46 million according to Forbes, 2016 – making her worthy of the prestigious record! 

 

4. Kumar Sanu – Most number of songs recorded in a day.

90’s was lit with Kumar Sanu’s magical voice. He has sung countless songs for a dozen Bollywood heroes – but his baritone had such power that one word and you would know its Sanu singing. To our surprise, Mr. Sanu also holds the record of recording 28 songs in a SINGLE day, since the year 1993.

 

5. Beyoncé – Most liked picture on Instagram.

After royalty Beyoncé announced that she is pregnant again with her loving husband Jay Z, with TWINS, likes started pouring in. With 6,335,571 in only 8 hours, it overthrew Selena Gomez’s record of the most liked Instagram picture. Queen Bey for a reason!

 

6. Miley Cyrus – Most searched-for pop star on the Internet.

In 2015, Miley officially became the most searched pop star sensation in the entire world. In 2013, after her controversial ‘twerking’ video with Robin Thicke went viral, her popularity took a different turn altogether.

 

7. Jagdish Raj – Most type-cast actor.

You remember this face from movies like Deewar, Don, Shakti, Mazdoor, Gopichand Jasoos, Silsila, Aaina or Besharam… Mr. Raj’s face is hard to forget. Late, Mr. Raj has played a cop in 144 films. YES. And for that very reason he has been hailed as the most type-cast actor by Guinness world records.

 

8. Katy Perry – First to accumulate 100 million followers on Twitter

On 16 June, 2017, Katy Perry officially became the first person on Twitter to reach the mark. The pop-sensation, Katy joined Twitter back in Feb 2009!

 

9. Kapoor Family – Largest screen family – Bollywood

Since the year 1999, the Kapoor family holds the record of the largest screen family ever! 1929 was the first time Prithviraj Kapoor took the screen. After him, his three sons, Raj, Shammi and Shashi took his legacy forward.

 

10. Sameer Anjaan – Most prolific Bollywood lyricist ever.

He has written 3,524 different songs till 15 December 2015. His first song was for the movie ‘Bekhabar’ in 1983 and his songs have been featured in over 650 Bollywood films.
