There are marriages that rekindle your faith in love and then there are marriages that make you fall in love with the power of faith. Faith that can not be seen but felt and faith that will make you live, even when God hasn’t been kind to you…
God certainly isn’t kind to 5-year-old Eileidh Paterson from Scotland, for she is suffering from neuroblastoma, a form of cancer. But He has certainly blessed her with amazing parents and pals who recently made her dying wish come true!
Eileidh recently was joined by hundreds of well-wishers as she married her 6-year-old BFF Harrison Grier in a fairy tale-themed bash.
The touching ceremony took place at the Aberdeen conference centre where the adorable little girl ticked her ‘dream wedding’ off the bucket list.
Harrison’s father Billy Grier, 31, said,
“Harrison had never been to a wedding before, so this was all new to him. But it was a beautiful ceremony and he enjoyed every minute. He was quite excited to do it. Ever since he met Eileidh, they have been inseparable. I think he knew what was going on. He certainly knew how important it was to her and wanted to do whatever he could for her.”
As you can see, the beautiful bride wore a white and pink dress while the groom looked dapper in a traditional Scottish kilt. Their “fairy godmother” then officially declared the two “best friends forever” in a room full of superheroes and princesses.
That’s not it. Eileidh was walked into the room by her older brother Callum and a version of her life story was read out by the fairy Godmother, which in fact was penned by Eileidh’s mother, Gail Paterson.
Gail described her daughter as “a princess who would stop at nothing to survive” while documenting her fight against the aggressive disease.
Doesn’t it just break your heart?! You are a fighter, Eileidh and we will always keep you in our prayers!
