‘1920’ Actress Adah Sharma Rants On Twitter After She Got Trolled For Not Kissing A Fan!

Whether we admit it or not, there is no denying that movies have a big impact on our lives and on our society. If you don’t believe me, I have enough examples of Bollywood romanticising stalking as something the hero uses to get the heroine to fall in love with him and she does! This romanticising has had grave implications as jilted lovers do not know how to take ‘No’ for an answer.

In addition to this, people have the tendency to merge reel life with real life comparing celebrities to the characters they play on screen, and Adah Sharma of 1920 fame was the latest target for trolls on the internet when she refused to kiss a fan.

Why is everyone so mean to Monday ? I say Mon yayyy🤗😂🌞💃

Yup you heard that right! Apparently, we are still alien to the concept of consent.

According to a report in Midday, a fan thought it was okay for him to ask Adah for a kiss on his cheek when she was interacting with online fans. When she refused he cited examples of her kissing in her films and asked her what was the harm if she kisses him.

In addition to that, netizens started trolling her for refusing to kiss a fan calling her a hypocrite.

This did not go down well with Adah and she took to Twitter to express her anger at the outrageous request as well as her comparison to her roles.

1. She hit the nail right on the head!

2. That sounds appropriate for someone who can’t take ‘No’ for an answer.

3. I agree with her on this because celebrities are expected to always be cordial with “fans” no matter how horrible they may be.

4. Are you listening over-enthusiastic fan?

5. It was NOT male-bashing.

6. Yet, some trolls just do not learn and the accusations refused to stop.

7. To this, Adah chose to give a sassy reply and that should be enough to teach trolls not to mess with the wrong person.

Celebrities are under public scrutiny all the time and they are expected not to lash out even when they are subjected to inappropriate requests by fans. Does consent not apply to them just because they are public figures?
