Most of us fancy having a tattoo someday. While some might like to keep it simple, others dedicate it to their loved ones and the adventurous kind goes all out with their imagination and comes up with wacky designs. But whatever it may be, if you somehow mess your tattoo design, getting it off is even more challenging, painful & costly. And believe us, the internet isn’t the best source to get inspiration from when it comes to removing tattoo at home.
Well, this man who wanted to remove a tattoo from his friend’s arm went with a ‘not-so-grate’ idea, which is definitely not advisable. Inspired by a tattoo removing idea on the internet, this man from Argentina decided to use a cheese grater to scrape off the tattoo from his friend’s arm. Ya, as stupid as it seems, this is what happened.
A twitter user who goes by the name @_Matycosta shared the images of his 21-year-old friend from Mendoza, Argentina, who removed a tattoo from his arm by using a cheese grater. In the caption he wrote, “A friend got a tattoo and because he didn’t like the tattoo, I took it out with a cheese scratcher.”

According to The Daily Mail, the 21-year-old had to remove his tattoo a week after he got inked as he wanted to apply for a job in airport security police.
“I had the tattoo done and a week later I wanted to join the airport police,” he said. He further added, “The other reason I did that to myself was aesthetic. I am very keen on details and I did not really like how the tattoo was left.” When they searched on YouTube for ways to remove the tattoo, they found that a pumice stone wasn’t effective in removing the tattoo completely hence they tried a cheese grater.
Obviously, it wasn’t the most intelligent thing to do. “It hurt and bled a lot. I had to bandage it a lot and apply disinfectant,” the man with the tattoo said. He obviously had to get a tetanus vaccine too after attempting the stunt.
As expected, his family wasn’t pleased by their nonsensical hack. He added, “My family disagreed with my decision but it was already done.”
If you’re wondering whether he got the job after having a blood bath or not? Well, he didn’t. “I suffered other personal problems and I decided to stay in Mendoza and not join the airport police. At that moment I regretted it, of course, I did,” he said. He further added, “But when I saw that it had gone a lot, I did not worry more. But I would not recommend it to anybody.”
In such cases, please visit a professional tattoo artist guys, the aftermath of this is not at all pleasing and safe.
