9-Year-Old Boy With An IQ Of 145, Is Set To Become The World’s Youngest Graduate

Every parent wants their child to be smart and intelligent. But this 9-year-old has broken all records as he is set to become the youngest person ever to complete a degree. Laurent Simons from Amsterdam, who is currently studying for a degree in electrical engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology, is set to graduate next month after completing his studies in just nine months, reports Daily Mail.

His parents, Lydia and Alexander Simons always wondered if Laurent’s grandparents were exaggerating when they said he had a gift, but his teachers soon concurred. “They noticed something very special about Laurent,” said Lydia to CNN. Teachers gave Laurent a number of tests to determine the extent of his skills and talents.

With an IQ of at least 145 and remarkable photographic memory Laurent told The Telegraph that he wants to travel to California to continue his studies because the weather is good there, but his father is also considering moving to the UK. “Oxford and Cambridge are also in the major league and it would be very much more convenient for us,” the 37-year-old dentist said.

Laurent’s favorite subject is electrical engineering and he’s also “going to study a bit of medicine.” His parents want him to find a balance between “being a child and his talents.” Apart from studying Laurent enjoys playing games like Fortnite, hanging out with his friends and watching Netflix.

All the Best Laurent, we wish you a very bright future.
