Woman Who Hired A Plane & Detectives To Find Her Dog Is Finally Reunited With Him

Just the thought of losing a pet is painful. Just think of Emilie Talermo who has been looking for her dog since the past four months. Her pet dog, an Australian Shepherd named Jackson was stolen away from outside a grocery store in San Francisco. And since that very moment, the woman has been doing everything to find her 5-year-old dog with grey fur and bright blue eyes.

She created a search website for the doggo and also offered Rs. 4.9 lakh as reward for anyone who finds Jackson, reported NY Post. She even went to the extent of hiring a plane with the website’s name and other details on a banner attached to it to go around the cities of San Francisco and Oakland. But the good news is, the two were reunited on Tuesday, reports Hindustan Times.

As reported, Emilie received a call earlier this week from an animal shelter in Palmdale. She was then informed that ‘someone had just dropped off a dog with a microchip connected to her phone number.’

Although she was hopeful it was him, she still insisted they send her the dog’s pictures.

“As soon as I saw them, I burst into tears. It was him!”

Since she wasn’t able to drive down to Palmdale to pick up Jackson, her friends in Santa Monica went there to pick him up. Then the San Francisco Police Department detective who was assigned to the case drove to Santa Monica and brought Jackson back to Emilie.

It was a joyous reunion, full of squeals and happy tears.

Emilie said that the shelter didn’t disclose who dropped Jackson off, but the doggo looked like he was well-fed and doesn’t seem too traumatized. You might be thinking, Emilie might have slept in peace that night, right? Not really though. Actually she couldn’t sleep at all.

“He slept great, he was snoring. He has been basking in the sun in our backyard. I didn’t sleep at all, I was with my eyes closed, smiling.”

“I’m just so happy to have him back in my life,” she added.

Dog lovers will agree that although these furballs sometimes annoy us, we still can’t live a day without them. I am glad they’re finally reunited. BRB, going to give my doggo a tight hug, I miss him already.
