Many people determine the growth and success of their relationship with marriage. For some, marrying the love of their life is the ultimate goal. However, there are others who think otherwise. But for this man, his idea to take it slow with his girlfriend got him into a soup.
Gertrude Ngoma from Zambia has been happily dating her boyfriend Herbert Salaliki for over eight years. But she decided to take him to court alleging that he wasted her time for almost a decade by not proposing marriage to her.
According to Times Now, Herbert had promised marriage to Gertrude for an undefined time however, she got fed up with the waiting and sued him. Gertrude reportedly told a Zambia court that she feels her partner is not serious about their relationship. “He has never been serious, that is why I bought him to court because I deserve to know the way forward and our future.”
Apparently, the couple has a child and Herbert has even handled dowry payment. But he isn’t economically sound to throw a wedding right now. Since both of them are adults and unmarried, the judge couldn’t do much and advised them to resolve their issue mutually.
Well, this isn’t the first time that something this bizarre happened. Earlier, a woman from UP pleaded for divorce claiming that her husband loves her too much and never fights.
