‘Be your own hero.’ This saying perfectly fits this woman who decided to fight and protect herself from a molester.
This courageous incident is reported from Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh wherein an elderly woman fought back after being molested by an alcoholic man.
The woman, identified as Vimla, who sells bamboo utensils to earn a living was regularly abused by the man. However, she was done with taking all the trouble, reported the Times Of India.
Hence, the next time the man came to harass her, she caught him and furiously ran behind him to beat him with a stick. However, the accused immediately ran inside a nearby police station to take refuge.
After both of them came out of the police station, the woman’s daughter, angrily waiting for the accused outside the police post, attacked him with a bamboo stick.
“One day he told me to come with him. I asked, ‘where to?’ He said, ‘wherever you want. I’ll treat you to alcohol and good food. Later we shall go to the fields and sit’. That’s when I ran after him to beat him,” said the victim Vimla.
