That’s Carla Delevingne, a top model who loves junk food, and hogs on it like normal people do. Â A lot of models eat like normal people do and still look amazing.
The problem lies when you are a model who just started your career. There is a pressure to look your best (read as thinnest) or they won’t let you on the runway. That’s plain stupidity because these so-called thin models look like skeletons and I’m not sure if they look beautiful or horrendous.
Then there is the case of pre-runway diets where even established models starve themselves to look as thin as possible.
And these ridiculous diets are never known to the common people because most of the models who are still working cannot release the information. Many of the following diets in the list have come out as confessions by ex-models.
Some of them are given by unsuspecting models, not as a confession at all. Check them out (the diets I mean).
1. Isabella Caro
Diet for the day –
1 piece of chocolate.
1 cup of tea.
Nomnomnomnom. Delicious.
2. Adrina Lima
Diet for the day –
1 gallon of water.
Only protein shakes, no solid food.
12 hours before the show –
No water at all.
How do you even….
3. Alice Jackson
Diet for the day –
1 lettuce.
“There, done for the day. I am full”, said no one ever after eating one lettuce.
4. Ophelie Guillermand
Diet for the day –
Juice.
Hummus.
Vegetables.
Gazpacho.
*Stomach groaning by just reading this*
5. Edie Campbell
Diet for the day –
Porridge.
1 sandwich.
1 coconut juice.
“Bhaiyya, bill de do!”
6. Carré Otis
Diet for the day –
Six cups of black coffee.
A few pack of cigarettes.
That’s it. I am done.

Cotton balls dipped in juice.
And my mom thinks drinking juice straight from the bottle is disgusting.

I have nothing too sometimes, between my lunch and pre-dinner snack.

Raw vegetables.
12 cups of detox tea.
Her excuse – “Imma Kardashian!”
10. Suvi Riggs
Diet for the day –
1 granola bar.
1Â vegetable soup.
Salt and vinegar chips.
Orange juice.
Water.
What the hell are vinegar chips?!!?!
11. Vasilisa Bavlova
Diet for the day –
1 cheese croissant.
2 iced coffees.
2 bottles of water.
Good girl!
12. Cleo Glyde
Diet for the day –
3 green grapes – breakfast.
2 green grapes – snacks.
6 green grapes – binge.
I love how she thinks 6 grapes can be called a binge. LOL.
‘Malnourished models’ is a real problem. There have been so many cases where stick-thin models have fainted on the fashion ramp.
To look at the bright side – things are changing. People have realized that no one (including me) likes wafer thin anorexic girls. Moreover, there’s a huge health risk associated with following such an inhuman diet (or the lack of it).
Here’s hoping that they recruit more of natural looking models so that the industry becomes a better place where anyone doesn’t have to starve oneself to look good and walk on the ramp for 15 seconds.
