Every day, we tend to discard so much waste including plastic wrappers, vegetable peels, paper bags, plastic boxes left behind from ordering food, etc. Now imagine, 100 people disposing the same amount of waste every day. Now imagine 1.3 billion people doing the same. The amount of waste that gets accumulated is unimaginable.
What we can do as individuals is adopt more eco-friendly ways of living and take small steps towards doing so. Like Indian Forest Services Officer Parveen Kaswan, who is giving out visiting cards which when planted grows into a beautiful basil plant.
He took to Twitter to post a picture of his visiting card and notify that whoever comes to his office will be receiving it. Have a look:
So now anybody coming to my office is getting this. This card when planted grows into a bright basal plant. Thanks @WildLense_India. pic.twitter.com/xL9xgPCbbF

Such a nice idea….the visiting cards many times are thrown away or left out. @VitescoT Can we have such idea implemented in our organization? https://t.co/Vs5mh1orQc
