Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma got married in a beautiful, intimate Tuscan wedding earlier this month and gave a lot of us heartaches for various different reasons. And I know we’re not supposed to compare love stories and the beautiful marriages that culminate out of it but the year 2017 belongs to the lovely duo and the dreamy #VirushkaWedding!

Also, the beautiful receptions that followed both in Delhi and Mumbai for friends, families and colleagues.

But now, the year is coming to an end and so is the #VirushkaWedding fever.

In fact, the newlyweds were recently spotted at the airport ahead of the South Africa tour where hubby, Virat most probably will show off his expertise on the field!

Not to exert pressure but looking at the winning streak throughout 2017, the men in blue are sure to put up a good fight and chase.

But while the thought comes naturally, there is no other way to say this, some are concerned as to how difficult Virat would find to do his job post-marriage!

I mean, if you think I’m making this up, let me tell you the Indian skipper was asked exactly that at the press conference held before the onset of the tour, reports Hindustan Times.

Virat who had skipped the limited overs series against Sri Lanka to get married was asked if how difficult will it be for him to return to cricket post the marriage celebrations. But don’t worry because he had a kick-ass reply ready.

“I was away for something which was much more important in my life but I had been training. Switching back to cricket was not difficult at all. Cricket is in my blood.”

Bang on!

In fact, not only that, he even went on to add the he has been preparing well and might  I add, he seems more than ready to do what he is extremely good at. According to ANI,

“I haven’t done anything in the past three weeks. I have been training to get back to play in South Africa.”

“Somewhere in your head you are always thinking about you have something important coming up, so subconsciously you are looking forward to it. So, mentally I am very well prepared.”

Now, that’s captain we love and respect. Thank you for showing us how it’s done, Virat. Also, good luck to you and the boys!
