When two people say their vows and take saat phere, they know that they’re bound in matrimony for life. But sometimes, couples have irreconcilable differences that prompt them to end the relationship. While different goals, lack of compatibility and cheating are some of the more common reasons for separation and divorce, there are a few bizarre ones as well. For instance, PUBG, being too romantic, not bathing for days on end and even the lack of shopping trips.
According to Hindustan Times, a married woman from Campierganj (in Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh) left her husband’s home because he was a daily wage labourer and couldn’t afford to buy her eggs.
News18 reports that the woman had done something similar 4 months ago. She ran away with her lover but subsequently came back and informed the police that the reason for her decision was her husband not providing her with eggs to eat.
On October 26, the couple fought over the issue again and both the wife and her lover went missing from their respective homes. The cops suspect that they might be together.
The husband revealed that the lover took advantage of the situation by saying,
“She was fond of eggs and her paramour regularly brought eggs for her.”
This incident certainly proves that truth is sometimes stranger than fiction, don’t you agree?
