19 YO Mom In Gujarat Loves PUBG & Wants To Divorce Husband And Live With Her Gaming Partner!

I would be really surprised if a youngster of this rapidly advancing generation comes up to me and throws out the question ‘what is PUBG?’. Player Unknown’s Battleground is an online multiplayer game which took the world of gaming by storm after introducing a mobile version in 2018. And you bet, the game has lured a whopping number of gamers into its world who have devoted their time like a ritual behind the addiction.

However, today’s report is about a 19-year-old mother, who was ready to let go of her husband for the high-action video game.

The incident took place in Gujarat where a mother of an infant called up Women’s helpline Abhayam seeking help to get a divorce from her husband. After separating from her husband, she wished to live with her gaming partner, with whom she plays PUBG every day.

According to The Indian Express, the woman, who has a 1-year-old child, was introduced to the game a few months ago and got massively hooked. She met a fellow player for Ahmedabad and literally spent hours playing with him every day.

Abhayam 181 Helpline Project Head Narendrasinh Gohil said that the call was a unique one for them as they are used to people wanting help for their PUBG addict children. They assigned a counsel-ling team, who went to the woman’s house, and spoke to her and the family.

They found out that her severe addiction to the game was causing continuous problems with her family. The woman was advised to reconsider her decision by Counsellor Sonal Sagathiya. They tried to make her understand that the man she wanted to live with “was not predictable”, and it was not sure whether “he wanted to live with her or not”. She was advised to give it a thought as she had a baby to look after.

However, the woman borrowed some time to think about it. Speaking about the same, Gohil said,

“As per policy of Abhayam helpline, the counsellors didn’t force a decision on the lady and just counselled her on the options available to her. The woman said she needed time to think about it.”

There is no problem in playing the game, but it should be kept within limits.
While there is no problem in playing the game, it shouldn’t come at the cost of the life you’ve built for yourself.
