Twitter Lauds UP Cops For Swiftly Aiding Girl Harassed On Bus After She Tweeted For Help

Laws have been strengthened in the country following the increasing number of cases of sexual harassment, rapes, molestation, and violence against women. From forming special force dedicated to women’s safety to introducing several helpline numbers for immediate help, steps have been taken to ensure that women in our country feel safe.

And, a recent act of immediate action by UP police surely restores our faith in the system to a certain extent. A Twitter user by name @caustic Kanya shared a distress tweet asking for immediate help on a moving bus in UP.

“Dear @uppolice I’m traveling in UPSR bus and some guys sitting next to me harassing me and asking for my number,” she wrote alongside a photo of her bus ticket mentioning her bus and seat number. UP police were quick to respond to her and ensured immediate help.

They rushed to the spot and nabbed the men who were harassing her. The woman updated her followers by sharing thanking UP police for their immediate help.
