Earlier, a husband glued his wife’s genitals shut after suspecting she’s cheating on him. Now, a man from India’s Uttar Pradesh sewed up his wife’s genitals with an aluminium thread suspecting adultery, reported News18.
The horrid incident happened in the Milak area in UP’s Rampur district. The husband, a driver by profession, suspected his wife of infidelity and asked her to prove her innocence by taking such an awful fidelity test.
After the wife agreed to take the agni pariksha, the husband tied her limbs together, stitched up her intimate parts, and then fled from the spot leaving the woman in pain and bleeding.
The 24-year-old victim then managed to contact her mother who then took her to the nearby community health center. She then reportedly lodged a police complaint against her son-in-law.
Circle officer (CO) of the Milak area, Srikant Prajapati, told Times Of India, “The accused is a drunkard. He drives a combine harvester and often used to go out for days during the harvesting season. He suspected that his wife was in a relationship with another man. He was not feeling guilty for his act.”
After conducting a thorough medical check-up, the doctors confirmed the assault. Rampur’s superintendent of police (SP) Shogun Gautam also informed that the woman incurred serious injuries.
She said, “The medical examination of the woman has confirmed that she had suffered serious injuries in her private parts. Her husband was arrested and sent to jail. We are ensuring that she gets proper treatment at the government hospital.”
In her statement to the cops, the wife stated that she was also abused by her husband and suffered a miscarriage once after he kicked her. She went on record to say that although she agreed to take the fidelity test, she never, in her wildest dreams, thought that her husband would stoop to this low.
“My husband used to beat me up for no reason. He also suspected that I had an extramarital affair. I had never imagined that he would indulge in such a horrible act.”
The cops have taken the accused into custody and booked him under several sections of the Indian Penal Code. IMO, it’s better for such criminal-minded people to stay cooped up in jail until they learn a lesson.
