Umesh Yadav Scores 31 Runs In 10 Balls & Twitter Is Giving It The Meme Treatment

The Indian Cricket team is on fire these days and their back to back phenomenal performance on the ground is proof! The men in blue are currently locking horns with South Africa in the test match tournament. Captain Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal had already raised the bar for fellow cricketers after scoring a double century in the tournament.

The strength of the team was time and again proven by praise-worthy fielding and catches taken by Rohit Sharma and Ravinder Jadeja in the game.

Another underdog from the team who has held the nation’s head high in the world of cricket, recently, is Umesh Yadav. The batsman with his thunderous innings against South Africa broke two world records, reports HT.

Yadav smashed five sixes, ran between the wickets once to score 31 runs in a matter of just 10 balls! With this, he scripted history to become the world’s fastest player in test matches to score 30+ runs with the least number of balls. The record was previously held by New Zealand’s Stephen Fleming, who had scored 31 runs in 11 balls against South Africa in 2004.

The player also set another record of having the highest strike rate in a 10+ ball inning in Test history. He recorded a strike rate of 310 in the remarkable innings.

Praise started pouring in for the batsman for his thunderous performance on the ground. People can’t stop hailing Umesh for his record-breaking innings.
