With ‘The Sky Is Pink’ filmmaker and writer Shonali Bose brings to the silver screen the real-life story of Aisha Chaudhary who died at the age of 17 battling a rare immune deficiency disorder that affected her body’s ability to fight infections. The role of Aisha (who wrote the book ‘My Little Epiphanies’) is played by Zaira Wasim.

The film is narrated by her as she tells us about her mother Aditi (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), father Niren (Farhan Akhtar) and older brother Ishaan (Rohit Saraf). She takes us through the family’s struggles, resilience, ups, downs, and eventual acceptance.
