Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar Starrer ‘The Sky Is Pink’ Is Here & So Are The Twitter Reviews

With ‘The Sky Is Pink’ filmmaker and writer Shonali Bose brings to the silver screen the real-life story of Aisha Chaudhary who died at the age of 17 battling a rare immune deficiency disorder that affected her body’s ability to fight infections. The role of Aisha (who wrote the book ‘My Little Epiphanies’) is played by Zaira Wasim.

The film is narrated by her as she tells us about her mother Aditi (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), father Niren (Farhan Akhtar) and older brother Ishaan (Rohit Saraf). She takes us through the family’s struggles, resilience, ups, downs, and eventual acceptance.

The movie hit the theatres today, so if you’re planning to book tickets for this weekend, you need to check out these tweets first.

People commended all the talented actors for their soul-stirring and powerful performances. Since the film scores high on the emotional quotient, many couldn’t hold back their tears while watching it.

However, many cine buffs felt that the movie dragged on quite a bit, the soundtrack was average and that some parts (like Aisha’s narration) were inspired by earlier Hollywood movies.

Now that the janta’s verdict is in, will you go and watch this film or go for Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘War‘ instead?
