“Bluffmaster Gogo Needs To Up His Game,” Says Tanushree Dutta Refuting Legal Notice Claims

This month is turning out to be a pretty big one for India. Hugely thanks to the Supreme Court. First, they decriminalised section 377, a long overdue movement. Then came their verdict on the adultery law, followed by the second-longest hearing in the history of the Supreme Court-The Aadhar Case. And before anyone had time to process any of this, the SC was back at it again with lifting the ban on menstruating women in Sabarimala Temple.

However, it wasn’t just the Supreme court that stepped up this month. Actress Tanushree Dutta sent Bollywood into a frenzy when she came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against Nana Patekar. And for what seems like the first time in forever, other celebrities actually came out to voice their support for her.

And now she’s gone and done it again, proving she’s not one to fear Patekar’s claims of taking legal action against her.

According to reports, Nana Patekar’s lawyer Shirodkar had claimed that a legal notice was being sent to Tanushree and that she should apologise for making such statements.

And though he claimed that the notice would be sent yesterday, it seems to have either gotten lost in transit or been just an attempt at bluffing as Tanushree says she’s yet to receive any legal notice. Speaking to ANI, she says:

“Given the recent developments, I am putting together a team of lawyers and advocates to defend my interests. Also contrary to claims made by Nana’s lawyer I have not received any legal notice. So bluffmaster gogo needs to step up his game a bit here.”

Tanushree’s usage of the name “Bluffmaster Gogo” has raised quite some eyebrows on social media and by the looks of it, earned her some fans as well:

Tanushree was far from done btw, she also urges that the lawyer and his client aka Patekar be taken in for questioning:

“The lawyer along with his client should be questioned & taken to task. I’ve a humble request to bar association of India to call out & take action against him & other such people who help perpetrators further harass their victims & witnesses in the name of law.”

She makes a valid point here. Can everybody just sort their issues out like adults following proper channels (like keeping this within the four walls of the court), without dragging this through the mud or making empty threats and allegations? Also, who wants to bet “Bluffmaster Gogo” memes will soon trend on Twitter?
