Our Minister of External Affairs , Sushma Swaraj is a tweet away when someone is in need of help. And, she believes in prompt relief for the Indians or NRIs stuck anywhere in the world. But, right now, Sushmaji is a bit disappointed with the Pakistani foreign affairs adviser, Sartaj Aziz.
In a Twitter thread, Sushmaji mentioned how she has sympathies for the Pakistani nationals seeking medical visas for treatment in India. She requested that the ministry requires Mr. Sartaj Aziz’s grant for the same.
I have my sympathies for all Pakistan nationals seeking medical visa for their treatment in India. /1

I am sure Mr.Sartaj Aziz also has consideration for the nationals of his country. /2

All that we require is his recommendation for the grant of medical visa to Pakistan nationals. /3

I see no reason why should he hesitate to give his recommendation for nationals of his own country. /4

She further said how she personally wrote to Mr. Aziz, while requesting to grant Kulbhushan Jadhav’s mother Mrs. Avantika Jadhav’s Pakistani visa so that she can meet her son.
We also have a visa application pending for an Indian national Mrs.Avantika Jadhav who wants to meet her son in Pakistan /5

against whom they have pronounced a death sentence. /6

I wrote a personal letter to Mr.Sartaj Aziz for the grant of her visa to Pakistan. /7

But got no acknowledgement from her Pakistani counterpart’s office.
However, Mr.Aziz has not shown the courtesy even to acknowledge my letter. /8

But Sushmaji made it clear that the ‘no response’ from Pakistan wouldn’t affect the Pakistanis seeking Visa, and if they have the recommendation from Aziz, they would be granted Indian visa immediately.
But I assure Pakistan nationals seeking medical visa with a recommendation from Mr.Sartaj Aziz, we will issue the visa immediately. /9

Recently, a 25-year-old, Faiza Tanveer, Pakistani cancer patient who had an aggressive tumour in her mouth was denied medical visa for her treatment in India. Her family cited that it was because of the deteriorating ties between the two nations.
Back in April, it was all over the news that Pakistan had sentenced Indian national Kulbhushan Singh Jadhav to death on April 10, on the charges of espionage and sabotage activities. He was caught in Balochistan (Pakistan). His death sentence was restrained by International Court of Justice, on May 18.
