Delhi Govt School Students Will Now Get Lessons From Super 30 Founder Anand Kumar!

On 12 July, Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 hit theatres across the country. Almost two weeks later, the film has already been made tax-free in the states of Bihar, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Delhi because it brings to the silver screen the real-life story of Anand Kumar.

Mr. Kumar is a 46-year-old mathematician and founder of the Super 30 Institute renowned for inducting IIT-JEE aspirants from underprivileged financial backgrounds and training them sans fee.

According to News18, in 2014 he started facing problems in hearing through his right ear. Later he discovered that he had an acoustic neuroma (a brain tumour on the nerve to his ear). The teacher revealed,

“Currently I am on medication prescribed by famous neurosurgeon Dr. BK Mishra at Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai.”

Now, Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia has announced that Mr. Kumar will take virtual classes and impart his knowledge to students from government schools in the capital.

The aim of this collaboration is to bridge the gap between government and private institutions. The move will also promote the idea that a well-off family background is not a prerequisite to success, it is the student’s talent that matters in the end.

NDTV quoted Mr. Kumar saying,

“My education also took place in a government school. Slowly the gap between a government school and private school is widening. Poor students are finding it difficult. But I am very happy today to see that government schools are becoming equal. It is nice to see smiles on the faces of the students and a desire to learn.”

We sincerely hope that the students gain from his experience, unlock their full potential and crack the engineering entrance examinations.
