Army Aspirants Text Vinod Kapri Highlighting Ground Reality As Pradeep Mehra Goes Viral

The 19-year-old runner boy, Pradeep Mehra, who was spotted by filmmaker Vinod Kapri has an impressive and inspiring story to tell. However, like him, there are also many army aspirants who are making ends meet and burning the midnight oil prepping for the examination.

On seeing Mehra’s story being heard and appreciated by the masses, several kids tried to contact the national award-winning filmmaker with the hope that he would be able to help them.

And as expected, Kapri shared screengrabs of some of the messages he has received on his social media accounts which highlight the grim reality of our country.

In one of the messages he received, a person named Naveen Pandit said that Pradeep is not the only one. “There are many like him who are struggling more than him,” he said in his message.

Naveen further revealed that he has an MA, B.Ed degree but he is working in a stone factory. He also owns the 125 spot in REET main exams but he wasn’t selected because the government cancelled the examination.

Another army aspirant from the Kumaon regiment shared that the written exam all over India is being delayed and the Ministry of Defense isn’t giving them a valid reason for the same. And despite raising their voices on various occasions, they haven’t received any positive responses.

One Sandeep Saini said that people like him and Pradeep are prepping to join the forces. However, since there are no recruitment rallies being organized in the country, their efforts might go down the drain.

Adding that he is also one of them, Saini said that while taking the written exam of 4000 aspirants, the government cries ‘corona’, but the same doesn’t happen when there are political rallies being conducted with lakhs of people.

Another young man from Tamil Nadu said that since army recruitments are not being conducted for the past two years, a friend of his died by suicide along with 20 others across the country.

Going by these messages from army aspirants, the situation on the ground is really grim. Deserving candidates are losing their lives because they aren’t given an opportunity to prove their mettle and realize their dreams. An investigation in this matter is the need of the hour.
