At first, people glorified hustle culture. It was said that one needs to work twice as hard at the office and also have something going on the side for passive income. Next, people backtracked a little and realized that hustling really ends up taking a toll on one’s mental health. Now, we are at a place where people have understood the importance of balance – work hard but also find time to do the things you love and rest.
Nowadays, whenever an entrepreneur talks about ‘peak productivity’ and celebrates late nights, working during the holidays and multitasking to the extent that it’s ridiculous, they get called out on social media. Here’s an example:
Tanay Pratap, who is the founder of a startup called Invact Metaversity, took to Twitter to share a picture of himself getting a haircut at a salon. However, he claimed that while he was getting a haircut, he was also attending a meeting and the staff stopped the music to help him carry on further. “Startups are not for everyone,” he says.
“Peak productivity unlocked today. Took meeting while getting a haircut. The staff were the sweetest to stop music while I took the meeting. Startups are not for everyone. The only time you get when you’re not working is while you’re sleeping.,” he tweeted.
Have a look:

When someone ridiculed him and sarcastically said that “sleep is for the weak”, Pratap wrote that he feels sleep is the most “wasteful activity” we engage in. At this point, I’m not sure if he is actually serious.
Ha yaar… I want to give it up. But there’s no way to do it physically. I feel sleep is the most wasteful activity we engage in.

People online had the most hilarious reactions to his story. While some suggested he goes bald to save time, others gave him a piece of their mind. Have a look:
If I need to have a meeting with 30% of my attention lost over a scissor next to my head, then it was prolly worth a text.

“The only time you get when you’re not working is while you’re sleeping”? I thought productive people had better planned work lives.

Could have scheduled the meeting and haircut at different times in place of disturbing everyone who was at the salon to get a haircut while listening to soft mellow music.

TIL a great productivity hack – go bald. No wasting time for haircuts or hair washes that way 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

It’s rude to everyone attending the meeting including the barbar!

Peak stupidity unlocked today. Bhaai Takla hoja na seedha.

Sir, you attend meetings while in loo too? I think it saves lot of time.

Honestly, this ‘peak productivity’ thing is going out of hand.
