Breathtaking stunts, killer plots, fabulous mind games and some insane acting – these pretty much sum up a good spy movie, also known as the best kind of movies that ever have been. Don’t get me wrong, I love watching all kinds of movies, excluding horror and slasher though. But there’s something about spy movies that sets them apart from all other types. Nothing makes your heart beat like that of a humming bird’s than a good spy movie.

7. Enigma

Set against the background of the second world war, this movie shows both the brutality of the war and the effect that enigma machine had in bringing the war to its end.

 

8. The Recruit

Want to see Al Pacino in action? Well, here you go! This rad actor as a CIA agent is a feast both for your mind and eyes.

 

9. North by Northwest

This movie was directed by none other than Alfred Hitchcock, the king of thrillers and is considered to be one of the best movies ever made. Still want more reasons to watch it?

13. Jewel Thief

Jewel Thief is so far the finest creation of Bollywood in terms of an intelligent thriller. Along with a mind-boggling plot, you get to see some fine acting and hear some beautiful music. This movie also has four characters like the typical Bond girls, that would only leave you wanting more.

 

14. D-Day

D-Day is undoubtedly one of the best thrillers that Bollywood has produced. The plot boasts of a nerve wrecking battle of intelligence between RAW and ISI, and you get to see some of the finest actors like Irrfan Khan, Huma Qureshi and Arjun Rampal in action.

 

15. Madras Cafe

Set against the background of the Sri Lankan civil war and the assassination of the then PM Rajiv Gandhi, this is one of John Abraham’s best performances. Though the movie didn’t do exceedingly well in the box office, I’d suggest you give it a watch.
