Do you associate every single place, song, movie, book, food, scent with people you are in a relationship with or are you normal?
Because many of us have memories of a special someone attached with…say a place or a song. Maybe you danced with the special someone to ‘Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai’, and soon it became “our song”. But it sucks when you break up with this person and the things you attached their memories with gets ruined for you too. Like, will you ever be able to listen to ‘Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai’ without getting reminded of your special someone? Hardly.
Speaking of which, someone on Twitter popped a very emotional question, “What was the song your ex absolutely ruined for you?”
what was the song your ex absolutely ruined for you?

And people online responded. What is truly sad is that AMAZINGLY evergreen songs like Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’ and John Legend’s ‘All of me’ got ruined for some people.
She sang Lag jaa gale a lot and now whenever it plays BOOM I'm transported back in time 💔😭

Some people had a very valid message to share:
fuck your exes. don’t make music about someone else. music is for you. ♥️ https://t.co/5qV4w3ZbMg

While different people process past relationships differently, maybe losing out on the finer things in life like food or music shouldn’t be lost out on post a breakup.
